In this course, I guide you through the ins and outs of playing rhythm and lead guitar over a spread or Chicago-Style Shuffle. I go through three distinct types of parts you can play, including low rhythm parts, high chord parts, and basic lead as rhythm. Then we will go through some compelling lead licks including turnarounds, single note lines, dyads, and chords. I break down and demonstrate each technique and phrase in depth so it's easy, even for beginners, to understand. That's not to say it is easy to play in this style. It takes time and discipline to get this playing down, but if you apply yourself and are consistent, you will learn in no time! By the end of this course, you will be able to play Chicago-style blues confidently in ANY key with any band or backing track.
